Job Description

Role: Sr. L&D Partner
Location: Bengaluru
Experience: 3–5 years in Learning & Development

What you’ll do

We’re MiQ, a global programmatic media partner for marketers and agencies. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, so you will be too. No matter the role or the location, we’re all united in the vision to lead the programmatic industry and make it better.

Our Bengaluru Centre of Excellence is a technology GCC - the engine driving technology development and support for MiQ’s markets worldwide. It’s home to our Engineering, Product Data Science, and DNA teams, and it’s where some of MiQ’s most important work gets done.

As our Sr. L&D Partner, you’ll sit close to the business - anticipating the skills MiQ will need next as AI, automation, and shifting business models reshape how we work, and turning that foresight into capability frameworks, learning pathways, and programmes that keep our people ahead. It’s a strategic, hands-on role with real ownership and real visibility.

The heart of this role is business partnering, capability building, and growing our managers and leaders - you’re a strategic partner to the business, not a training coordinator. You’ll shape and direct the design, delivery, platforms, and vendors that bring learning to life, with the support of the wider L&D team and our tools, rather than run every piece single-handed.

Partner with the business and anticipate future capability
● Partner with business leaders across Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Analytics to identify future capability needs, emerging skills, and workforce shifts driven by AI, automation, and changing business models.
● Translate business priorities into a clear learning and capability strategy - connecting today’s goals to the skills MiQ will need next.
● Partner closely with our global teams across markets and time zones - central to how a GCC operates - aligning local capability with global standards and priorities.
● Act as a trusted internal consultant - running structured needs analysis (interviews, focus groups, observation, and data) to turn business challenges into outcome-linked learning briefs, then advising on the smartest build-vs-buy path.

Build capability architecture
● Design and maintain capability frameworks and skill taxonomies across Engineering, Product Data Science, and DNA.
● Identify critical and emerging skills, and translate them into role-based learning pathways that guide how people grow into and across roles.
● Keep these frameworks live - evolving them as roles, tools, and the business change.

Grow managers and leaders
● Own manager effectiveness - the programmes, toolkits, and coaching that raise the quality of people management across the COE.
● Drive leadership development and strengthen succession capability, building bench strength for our most critical roles.
● Facilitate manager and leadership programmes yourself, in person and virtually.

Design and deliver learning
● Shape engaging, learner-centric solutions - blended journeys, workshop materials, manager toolkits, and e-learning - grounded in how adults learn, and brought to life with the support of the team and our tools.
● Put AI and modern learning tech to practical use - including the LMS (Workday Learning) and LXP - to work smarter, tailor learning, and raise the bar on what we deliver.
● Facilitate and deliver with impact for individual contributors and new joiners - reading the room, adjusting in real time, and giving feedback that lands.
● Direct vendors and budgets where we buy rather than build, keeping quality high and delivery on time.

Measure impact on business outcomes
● Go beyond completion and activity metrics to answer the real question: did the intervention improve business outcomes?
● Measure with recognised models - Kirkpatrick, Phillips ROI, and OKR-linked measurement - and turn results into executive-ready, plain-English business reporting.
● With Talent Leads, track outcomes like promotion readiness, internal mobility, retention, performance improvement, and manager effectiveness, and use the insight to sharpen capability priorities.

What success looks like
● Business leaders sign off that your learning briefs and solutions map to real priorities.
● Managers and leaders visibly improve - seen in effectiveness scores and completed development plans.
● Your capability frameworks and pathways are adopted and stay current across functions.
● Learning is credibly linked to business outcomes, not just activity.

Who are your stakeholders?
● Business leaders across Engineering, Product Data Science, and DnA are your primary partners - you’ll translate their priorities into capability that keeps their teams ahead.
● Global teams and leaders across MiQ’s markets - you’ll work hand in hand with them to keep business and learning goals aligned worldwide.
● Learners themselves, who experience the pathways and programmes you build.

What you’ll bring
3–5 years in L&D, with real business-partnering exposure and hands-on responsibility for capability and programmes.
Business-facing consulting (the core of this role) - you work with senior leaders, understand business priorities, and shape capability strategy around them, flexing comfortably from CXOs to engineers.
Global partnership (a must) - you’ve worked hand in hand with distributed, global teams across markets and time zones.
Capability building - experience with capability frameworks, skill taxonomies, and role-based learning pathways, or a strong track record you can extend to them.
Manager and leadership development - you’ve designed or delivered programmes that lift manager effectiveness and build leadership bench and succession.
Facilitation - confident delivering up to manager and leadership level, in person and virtually; you can hold a room and read it.
Design and learning tech - solid instructional design fundamentals; hands-on with e-learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate, Rise, Captivate), an LMS (Workday Learning preferred), an LXP, and virtual-facilitation tools (Mural, Mentimeter, MS Teams / Zoom), with team support.
A learning mindset, curious about AI - keeps up with current practices, new methodologies, and the latest AI platforms in L&D, and applies them.
Outcome-minded - you think in business outcomes (mobility, retention, promotion readiness, manager effectiveness), not just activity.
A strategic, collaborative, agile thinker who welcomes multiple perspectives, constructively challenges briefs, and stays steady when priorities shift.
Added advantage - experience in a GCC, captive, or technology Centre of Excellence, or a background in the adtech / technology industry; familiarity with coaching or psychometric tools (e.g. Hogan, MBTI, DISC) is a plus.

This is a broad brief, so we’re clear on what matters most. In order of fit, we’re prioritising: a business-facing L&D consultant; then a leadership development specialist; then a capability architect; then an instructional designer; and then a traditional training manager. Strength in the first three matters more to us than doing every operational task single-handed.

We’ve highlighted the key skills and experience for this role, but please don’t worry if you don’t meet every single one. Our talent team strives to find the best people - they might see something in your background that’s a fit for this role, or another opportunity at MiQ. If you have a passion for the role, please still apply.

What impact will you create?
This role shapes how MiQ builds the capabilities it will compete on tomorrow. You’ll:
● Partner with business leaders to identify future skills and workforce capabilities required across Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Analytics, ensuring MiQ stays ahead of industry shifts in AI, automation, and decision intelligence.
● Build capability frameworks and learning pathways that strengthen succession pipelines, manager effectiveness, and long-term organisational readiness.
The work you do here will be felt well beyond Bengaluru.

What’s in it for you?
Our Centre of Excellence is the very heart of MiQ, and it’s where the magic happens. Everything you do and everything you create will have a huge impact across our entire global business.
MiQ is incredibly proud to foster a welcoming culture. We do everything possible to make sure everyone feels valued for what they bring. With global teams committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, we’re always moving towards becoming an even better place to work.

● Competitive healthcare benefits
● Bonus and performance incentives
● Generous annual PTO and paid parental leave, with two additional paid days to acknowledge holidays, cultural events, or inclusion initiatives
