Job Description:
Supervised by the Sustainability Specialists of Sibelco France, the intern will participate in the following missions:
1. Regulatory Monitoring and Environmental Compliance
- Conduct environmental regulatory monitoring for the different sites (mainly ICPE, water, biodiversity, quarries).
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting site activities and support site managers in understanding their environmental obligations.
- Contribute to updating regulatory compliance monitoring tools.
- Participate in identifying regulatory gaps and developing corrective action plans.
2. Support for Scientific and Technical Studies
- Contribute to the monitoring of environmental studies carried out by external consulting firms as part of various projects.
- Participate in the critical analysis of technical and scientific project documents, including:
- Hydrogeology
- Hydraulics
- Ecology / biodiversity
- Environmental metrology
- Geotechnics
- Traffic
- Participate in synthesizing and communicating results to internal teams.
- Work in collaboration with the Geology team on various quarry-related projects.
3. Contribution to Sustainable Development Projects
- Participate in collecting and analyzing environmental data from sites.
- Contribute to European environmental reporting (risks, opportunities, compliance, indicators).
- Help improve internal tools for tracking environmental requirements and monitoring.
4. Site Support and Internal Communication
- Support internal and external environmental communication with industrial sites and quarries.
- Contribute to raising awareness among teams regarding regulatory requirements and environmental issues.
- Participate in preparing educational or training materials.
Depending on the intern’s profile, the internship may also include a specific project (for example: improving a regulatory monitoring tool, analyzing a particular environmental issue, or producing a scientific synthesis on a technical topic).
