Fulton Hogan is proud to have been awarded the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract with the Department of Transport and Planning, commencing from 1 July 2026. We are delivering critical road maintenance and infrastructure services across the Loddon Mallee Region.

As a result, Fulton Hogan is looking for an Inspection & Scoping Officer based in Swan Hill to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake routine and defect inspections across the road network to identify hazards, defects and maintenance requirements.
  • Accurately record inspection findings, measurements, photos and supporting evidence using field-based systems.
  • Scope and recommend practical maintenance treatments to support work planning and delivery.
  • Monitor and escalate safety risks and undertake immediate make-safe actions where required.
  • Work closely with Works Supervisors and Maintenance Coordinators to ensure maintenance activities are effectively planned and delivered.
  • Support compliance with contract requirements, service levels and safety standards.
  • Participate in emergency response activities, after-hours callouts and operational support as required.

The role is responsible for helping ensure the road network remains safe, compliant and reliable for road users

About you

  • Experience in road maintenance, civil construction, asset inspection, infrastructure maintenance or a similar field-based role.
  • Strong ability to identify defects, assess risks and make practical recommendations.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to accurately capture and maintain records.
  • Current Victorian Driver Licence and White Card.
  • Experience using mobile technology, tablets and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A strong commitment to safety and Fulton Hogan’s Living Safely culture.
