Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol with CPR in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to manage visitor flow in accordance with location protocols, reporting concerns, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, de-escalating tense interactions when appropriate, and following post orders related to daily operations and after-hours coverage.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
