[What the role is]
• To build vibrant communities and networks of partners within the South East district.• To build and manage relationships, as well as understand the needs of the community.
• To strategise, conceptualise, develop, execute programmes to promote lifelong learning within the community.
[What you will be working on]
- Engage in research, needs assessments and gather data to plan, formulate and grow various Council Committees which includes staffing District Councillors to conceptualise, plan and implement community projects.
- Coordinate and submit progress reports on the Council Committees, provide feedback, recommend changes and improvements to Council, sharing of results and notes of discussion with Committee, and thereby facilitating communication and coordination between the Committee and the Council.
- Develop and execute district level CDC projects and cross-segment programmes among CDC’s community partners such as Grassroots Organisations, Social Service Organisations (SSORGs), schools, government bodies and non-government organisations.
- Network, coordinate and develop joint CDC programmes or partnerships with Community and Corporate Partners, schools as well as other Government agencies, in achieving set targets and objectives of the Government/PA/CDC.
- Works closely with Communications Manager/Assistant Manager in corporate department to ensure projects/functions are covered adequately by the media and other publicity channels.
- Provide accurate record of the Council meetings, Standing Committee meetings and District meetings in minutes. Submits progress reports on the Council to PA Headquarters, thereby facilitating communication and coordination between the Council and PA.
- Ensure compliance to Corporate Governances in line with the Government/ PA/CDC policy and guidelines, i.e. Procurement, Projects Staff Manual, PA Staff Manual etc.

Desired:
At least 2 years of relevant knowledge or working experience with volunteer management/youth engagement/community activities/social work sector.
Other skills and qualities:
· Knowledge of the service landscape in Singapore will be advantageous.
· Excellent proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written, as well as proficiency in a second language (e.g., Chinese, Malay or Tamil) will be advantageous.
· Strong analytical and project management skills.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills.
· Able to work independently with minimal supervision
