We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Portfolio Investment & Performance Lead to join us in our Transformation Services team in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane on a full time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Head of Transformation Portfolio, the Portfolio Investment & Performance Lead is responsible for driving strategic value across Operations by aligning planning, investment and performance decisions to measurable business outcomes. Working across both operational and transformation portfolios, you will provide commercial leadership across strategic planning, investment governance, performance management and value realisation, enabling informed executive decision-making and optimising portfolio outcomes
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual strategic planning process for the Operations Division.
- Provide commercial oversight of transformation and operational investments, ensuring alignment to strategic priorities.
- Challenge business cases, investment proposals and benefits assumptions to maximise portfolio value.
- Monitor financial and operational performance, identifying risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
- Develop forecasts, scenarios and investment options to support executive decision-making and portfolio trade-offs.
- Track portfolio value realisation and provide insights, recommendations and remediation actions to improve outcomes
Your background
- Experience in strategic planning, commercial finance, portfolio investment, corporate strategy or transformation.
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to challenge assumptions and influence investment decisions.
- Experience developing and reviewing business cases, benefit frameworks and value realisation plans.
- Demonstrated ability to identify performance drivers and recommend actions to improve outcomes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and scenario modelling capability, with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide decision making.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and creating structure in evolving environments.

The Transformation Portfolio team is responsible for shaping, governing and optimising the Operations Division's strategic transformation agenda. Working at the intersection of strategy, investment, performance and delivery, the team ensures the division is investing in the right priorities, delivering measurable business outcomes and realising sustainable value.
This is a unique opportunity to shape how Operations invests, performs and delivers value, providing direct commercial and strategic advice to senior leaders.
