We are searching for the best talent for a Manager, Distribution Systems to join our J&J Orthopaedics team (DePuy Synthes).  This position is based in Mooresville, IN.

A pre-identified candidate for consideration has been identified. However, all applications will be considered.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Purpose:

The Manager, Distribution Systems (DS Manager) oversees all lower environment software validation testing and software project delivery for two business critical technology platforms supporting the DePuy Synthes global distribution hub in Mooresville, IN.  Our mission is to be undeniably the best distribution center within the worldwide DePuy Synthes network.  We do that through relentless focus on our customers, pursuit of E2E systems refinement, and fostering a culture of excellence.

You will be responsible for:

  • Effectively partner with Scrum Masters, Platform Product Owners, and Support Teams to ensure WMS development, delivery, and support of new and existing functionalities meet schedule, budget, and intent.

  • As business owner of the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS), direct the buildout of performance metrics for WMS development and testing lifecycle, including workflow management, software quality, and project schedule attainment.

  • As business owner of the Exacta Warehouse Execution System (WES), lead efforts for annual delivery and periodic review of SDLC lifecycle artifacts, while partnering with Engineering to ensure appropriate User Acceptance Testing is conducted for automation system enhancements.

  • Accountable for on-time delivery of all periodic SOX controls testing for systems user access management, while interfacing regularly with internal audit agencies and DS team members to ensure timeliness and completeness of testing.

  • De-mystifying complex systems dependencies and presenting clean and succinct information to leadership.

  • Coaches Distribution Systems team members toward their professional development goals and helps remove obstacles to success.

  • Establishes annual department goals, helps team members to develop individual performance objectives, and conducts regular performance reviews.

  • Accountable to establish intra-department knowledge transfer and training across team members to mature team capacity and bench strength.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Industrial/Systems Engineering, or similar field of study is required.

  • Minimum 6-8 years experience working in progressive systems analysis and validation roles is required.

  • Minimum 2 years experience as team leader or supervisor.

Required:

  • Direct experience contributing and managing software validation and change controls.

  • Working knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements and controls.

  • Working knowledge of Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System.

  • Working knowledge of Exacta Warehouse Execution System.

  • JIRA X-Ray experience.

  • Agile and Waterfall development lifecycle processes.

  • Working knowledge of Postman and Bruno scripting.

  • Prior experience working in a regulated medical device supply chain industry.

  • Direct supervision of systems analysts and contract validation staff.

Preferred:

  • ISO-13485 and 21 CFR 820 audit experience.

  • SOX 404 audit experience.

  • Windchill QMS user experience.

  • Technical writing for medical device industry, including delivery of standard operating procedures.
