Cross Country Education is seeking a caring and dependable Special Education Paraprofessional to provide individualized support and make a meaningful impact on a student's academic, social, and personal growth throughout the school year in Goodyear, AZ.
Position Overview:
- Provide dedicated one-on-one classroom support to a student with specialized educational and personal care needs throughout the school day.
- Assist with daily living activities, including feeding, mobility support, positioning, and personal care, while promoting student comfort, safety, and independence.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to implement individualized learning and behavioral support strategies.
- Maintain flexibility to assist in other classrooms or assignments as needed while fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; applicable background clearance required prior to employment
- Previous experience supporting students with special needs, including behavioral and/or autism spectrum disorders, preferred
- Active Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
