About the Job:
The Breast Care Coordinator, under direct supervision of the Mammography Supervisor, will act as a support for the interpreting Radiologist in all areas of mammography reporting and will work closely with the Radiologists ensuring the accuracy of imaging reports and ensuring all patients receive their results in a timely manner, as required by the FDA. The incumbent will also provide routine departmental assistance including but not limited to, requesting, obtaining, downloading, and documenting outside imaging requests; retrieving and updating medical records; and performing general clerical and other duties as assigned in accordance with the policies and procedures of Diagnostic Imaging.
What You’ll Do:
- Employees are expected to work consistently to demonstrate the mission, vision, beliefs, core values and standards of behavior of the organization
- Work with mammography supervisor to maintain the open mammography order list
- Proofread all radiologists’ dictations for accuracy to ensure compliance with regulations
- Revise and correct dictation on reports in collaboration with the interpreting radiologist
- Routinely monitor all patients who need to return for additional imaging and place orders into RIS so patients can be efficiently scheduled to return
- Obtain insurance precertification and schedules all interventional breast procedures
- Reconcile all imaging and procedures to ensure studies are dictated and patients receive results in a timely manner as mandated by the FDA

- High School diploma or GED, Required
- 2 years of healthcare experience, Required
