Recognised with the 2025 MAIB Community Safety Award, Street Team volunteers help keep party people safe, supported and connected every weekend. We also provide support for events such as New Years Eve and Cage night
What you’ll do:
Provide First Aid and Mental Health First Aid, supporting people in crisis or medical emergencies
Promote safe nights out through engagement with party goers, harm reduction, and safe transport support
Collaborate with emergency services and venue security
Role Details:
Volunteer on Friday and/or Saturday nights with shifts approx. 9:30pm-3:00am
Located in Salamanca & Hobart CBD
Volunteer as often as suits you
Training and ongoing support provided
Volunteers operate in pairs, with a support worker/coordinator always on hand
Requirements:
Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP)
Excellent Communication skills
Open-minded and a desire to learn
Work well within a small team
Prior training and/or experience in first aid, mental health first aid, etc. are desirable, but not essential.
