Key responsibilities
- As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will own the end‑to‑end validation of our software.
- You will design, develop, and execute automated and manual tests that verify performance, security and reliability across the full range of operating conditions typical for mobile energy storage.
- Close collaboration with the Firmware, Systems, and Quality teams is essential to ensure every BESS meets stringent industry standards.
Requirements
3+ years of hands‑on testing of energy storage systems.
Proficiency in Python.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and firmware code written in C.
Comfortable in writing detailed test specifications, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices linked to system requirements and safety standards for battery systems.
A plus if familiar with industry standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, UL 1973, etc.
A degree in Electrical Engineering degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) or another related field.
Be able to build and maintain test setups (EMS, HMI, battery packs, programmable power supplies, CAN/Ethernet interfaces) that emulate battery systems and interfaces, as well as perform tests on physical systems.
Proficient in developing scripts (Python) to run repeatable test campaigns (functional, stress, thermal, fault‑injection).
Ability to collect, process, and interpret test data; generate clear reports and dashboards for engineering and management review.
Prowess at diagnosing failures in hardware, firmware, or model implementations; work with cross‑functional teams to implement corrective actions.
Mentoring team members, conducting test reviews, and leading root cause analysis (RCA) on critical issues.
Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
