Description
The work of a Equipment Operator II involves digging ditches, hauling and pushing dirt; clears land and digs holes; operating grade rod to set grades; performing maintenances and minor repairs on machinery and equipment; lubricates machinery; monitors and replenishes motor and equipment oil; landscaping duties such as cutting trees, planting and cutting grass; maintaining and preparing a variety of records and reports such as vehicle maintenance and production reports; consulting specification sheets for site work and grading; and preparing other projects.Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by five years of experience in public works construction and maintenance operations and/or heavy equipment operation; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

- Must possess a valid state CDL driver’s license.
