Overview
As a Retail Ophthalmic Dispensing Trainee, you'll assist customers with frame selection, fits, and dispensing while learning to interpret prescriptions and provide optical product recommendations. Your responsibilities include helping customers understand their insurance benefits, selling and fitting frames and accessories, maintaining a clean dispensing area, and communicating with the lab and optometrist to ensure prescription accuracy. You'll also be responsible for fulfilling education requirements to become a Licensed Optician within the state/contract mandated timeframe. The role requires a current New York or Massachusetts Apprentice permit, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to stand for most of the day while frequently lifting up to 20 pounds.
