WE'RE LOOKING FOR NEW VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS WITH EXPERTISE IN ANY OF THESE AREAS:

• Experience working in the Early Learning and Child Care Sector
• Public Relations Experience
• Not for Profit Sector Experience
• Prior Board Experience (preferred but not
  required)

For over 35 years, Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton has offered high-quality child care programs to young children and their families. We operate full-day early learning and child care centres for infant, toddler and preschool children, as well as before and after school programs for kindergarten and school age children in 27 locations throughout the Greater Hamilton Area.

We pride ourselves on being a leading child care organization, committed to high-quality programs that are inclusive, accessible, and promote learning and growth.

Board members should have knowledge of the Hamilton community and a demonstrated interest in the early learning and child care sector.

Board Members are also expected to join one committee of the board, with committee meetings typically occurring 4-6 times per year.

2026/27 SCHEDULE OF MEETINGS:
Board meetings will be held on the first Thursday of the following months:
• OCTOBER | 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Hybrid. In-person attendance is strongly encouraged.
• DECEMBER | 12-2 p.m. Hybrid.
• MARCH | 12-2 p.m. Hybrid.
• MAY | 12-2 p.m. Hybrid.
• JUNE - Annual General Meeting (AGM) 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Hybrid. In-person attendance is strongly encouraged.

Please note that Directors serve without remuneration, but eligible expenses may be reimbursed
