A career in Supply Chain means ensuring products reach guests with speed, precision, and reliability. As an Engineering and Facilities Maintenance Manager, you play a key role in maintaining the infrastructure that powers these operations. This role goes beyond equipment upkeep—it’s about leading strategies that optimize systems, drive continuous improvement, and create sustainable, high-performing environments. You’ll manage critical assets, implement innovative solutions to reduce downtime, and enhance efficiency. Your leadership ensures teams deliver the products millions of guests need when they need them.

The Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Manager leads the planning, operation, and upkeep of all building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to deliver a safe, reliable, and highly efficient supply chain environment. You will own the health and performance of the facility—driving uptime, throughput, cost efficiency, and risk reduction—while championing a safety-first, reliability-centered maintenance culture. This role spans strategic planning and day-to-day execution, blending leadership, engineering rigor, and continuous improvement to ensure our teams, assets, and operations perform at their best.

Maintenance Reliability:

This role ensures operational excellence through strategic planning, disciplined processes, and hands-on problem-solving. You’ll lead preventive and predictive maintenance, oversee capital projects, manage vendors, and coordinate emergency repairs for critical assets. Leveraging accurate metrics, data analysis, and root-cause investigations, you’ll drive continuous improvement, reduce downtime, and enhance equipment effectiveness. Success requires strong cross-functional collaboration, timely performance reporting, and precise escalation handling to maintain seamless execution across the Engineering & Facilities network.

Team Leadership:

This role requires strong leadership to guide Maintenance Technicians, Facility Attendants, and CMMS Technicians with clear expectations, accountability, and urgency. You’ll recruit, onboard, and develop talent through coaching, feedback, and a mix of formal and on-the-job training, building technical and leadership capabilities. Fostering trust and engagement across all levels is key to creating a culture of shared success. Safety leadership is non-negotiable—enforcing LOTO, Arc Flash, and PPE standards, driving hazard prevention, and leading post-incident investigations. In Food & Beverage operations, you’ll also ensure sanitation and ammonia refrigeration compliance to protect product integrity and meet regulatory standards.

Budget Planning and Cost Control:

Asset stewardship extends across all site systems, including material handling equipment, power distribution, HVAC, fire suppression, dock equipment, backup generators, and more. You’ll manage life-cycle planning, contractor quality, and budget performance for both OpEx and CapEx. Leveraging Maintenance data and predictive technologies, you’ll drive reliability improvements and reduce total cost of ownership.

Facility Infrastructure Oversight and Project Management:

This role calls for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. You’ll balance multiple priorities, Projects, adapt quickly to change, and lead with clarity and confidence. Your ability to align teams, communicate effectively, and deliver results ensures millions of guests receive the products they need—on time, every time. The core responsibilities of this role are outlined in this description; however, duties may evolve over time to meet changing business needs.

Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:

  • Preferred 4-year degree in a relevant technical or engineering field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams across designated shifts—including weekends, overnights, and holidays, while ensuring operational continuity, rapid decision-making, and consistent leadership presence in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, backed by a safety-first mindset and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
  • Skilled in contractor/vendor management, capital project oversight, and ensuring quality, cost, and performance outcomes
  • Proficient in CMMS/EAM systems and PC applications, with strong aptitude for leveraging data and technology to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Highly self-motivated, customer-focused, and results-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Physically able to access all areas of the distribution center, including mezzanines and freezer environments (as low as –15°F)
