Join Amgen’s Mission of Serving Patients

At Amgen, if you feel like you’re part of something bigger, it’s because you are. Our shared mission—to serve patients living with serious illnesses—drives all that we do.

Since 1980, we’ve helped pioneer the world of biotech in our fight against the world’s toughest diseases. With our focus on four therapeutic areas – Oncology, Inflammation, General Medicine, and Rare Disease– we reach millions of patients each year. As a member of the Amgen team, you’ll help make a lasting impact on the lives of patients as we research, manufacture, and deliver innovative medicines to help people live longer, fuller happier lives.

Our award-winning culture is collaborative, innovative, and science based. If you have a passion for challenges and the opportunities that lie within them, you’ll thrive as part of the Amgen team. Join us and transform the lives of patients while transforming your career.

What you will do

Reporting strategy and roadmap: Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of field reporting products that support commercial execution, coaching, and leadership decisions. Translate business priorities into a clear delivery roadmap, milestones, and measurable outcomes.

Requirements and solution design: Own discovery with US business stakeholders and partner teams. Convert complex needs into functional requirements, KPI definitions, user journeys, data specifications, and scalable technical designs.

Dashboard and application development: Oversee and contribute to interactive dashboards and reporting applications using Tableau, Power BI, and React-based user interfaces. Ensure products are intuitive, reliable, accessible, and suited to field and leadership users.

React development: Guide development of reusable React components and reporting experiences. Review implementation patterns, API integrations, state management, performance, and code quality; partner with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support maintainable releases.

Data architecture and integration: Guide data transformations, reporting layers, data models, and refresh automation. Partner with data engineering and data management teams to ensure fit-for-purpose data flows, dependable refreshes, and clear lineage.

Quality, governance, and performance: Establish standards for KPI governance, data validation, testing, release readiness, documentation, security, and access controls. Monitor report performance and data quality, resolve escalations, and drive durable corrective actions.

Operational excellence: Own support workflows, service levels, and issue-resolution processes for field reporting. Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and simplify reporting operations, and communicate material risks and delivery status to stakeholders.

Cross-functional partnership: Build effective working relationships with Field Excellence, Data Management, Data Strategy, Incentive Compensation, Field Operations, Commercial Analytics, IT, and US business partners. Align dependencies and decisions across teams.

Team leadership and development: Manage and develop a team of reporting professionals. Set priorities, allocate work, coach team members, provide timely feedback, support career development, and create a collaborative environment focused on quality and accountability.

Delivery and stakeholder management: Lead planning and execution across concurrent initiatives, balance capacity against business priorities, and present recommendations, progress, and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Adoption and enablement: Oversee user training, documentation, communications, and feedback loops to increase adoption and continuously improve reporting products and processes.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline and 6+ years of relevant experience in field reporting, data management, or reporting solution development.

Preferred Qualifications

People leadership: Experience leading, coaching, or developing a team and coordinating delivery across multiple workstreams.

Reporting and analytics: Demonstrated experience delivering commercial or field reporting solutions using Tableau, Power BI, or comparable BI platforms.

React and web technologies: Hands-on experience developing or maintaining React applications, with JavaScript or TypeScript, reusable components, API integration, and responsive user interface practices.

Data and engineering: Strong understanding of SQL, ETL processes, data modeling, data quality controls, and cloud-based analytics environments.

Commercial domain: Experience with pharmaceutical or biotech sales and activity reporting, incentive compensation, field operations, and systems such as Veeva CRM or Salesforce.

Pharmaceutical data: Familiarity with IQVIA/IMS DDD, Xponent, PlanTrack, managed markets, or chargeback data.

Communication and partnership: Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts and recommendations to senior leaders, business partners, and field teams.

Product quality: Experience with user experience design, accessibility, software testing, release management, and ongoing product support.
