Full Time Maintenance & Farm Assistant
Five Points Pet Resort and Double C Farms
Location : Raeford & Vass, NC
Pay : $15-$17 per hour, based on experience
Job Type: Full Time / Year Round
Five Points Pet Resort and Double C Farms is looking for a dependable, hardworking, mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working with their hands and doing something different everyday!
We are seeking a jack-of-all-trades who has experience with general maintenance, repairs, carpentry, and property upkeep. This position primarily focuses on maintaining our pet resort facilities, with additional responsibilities helping on our cattle farm.
No two days will be exactly alike!
Job Responsibilities
Pet Resort & Property Maintenance
- Perform general building repairs and maintenance
- Repair dog suites, cat condos, kennel doors, fencing, gates, and hardware
- Complete basic carpentry, plumbing repairs, painting, and other handyman projects
- Assist with small construction projects, renovations, and improvements
- Maintain grounds, landscaping, and outdoor play areas
- Handle trash removal, hauling, and general property upkeep
- Identify maintenance issues and address them before they become larger problems
Farm & Equipment Assistance
- Assist with general cattle care, handling and farm operations
- Repair and maintain fences, gates, barns, and farm structures
- Operate tractors, skid steers, mowers, and other equipment when qualified
- Assist with pasture maintenance, mowing, and clearing
- Help with equipment upkeep and other seasonal farm projects
Qualifications
- Experience with general maintenance, carpentry, construction, or handyman work preferred
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools
- Able to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independently
- Willing to perform everything from skilled repairs to routine cleanup
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to perform physically demanding work
- Dependable, punctual, and self motivated
- Valid drivers license required and own transportation
- Experience with tractors, equipment, or livestock is a plus, but not required
