About the Role
The Solution Consultant is responsible for providing consulting services with the overall objective of designing and implementing software solutions for customers. This is a techno-functional role that combines analytical problem-solving with the ability to engage confidently with customers at all levels — from technical teams through to business stakeholders. The Solution Consultant plays a key role in understanding customer needs, translating them into effective solution designs, and guiding customers through the full implementation lifecycle.
Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do
- Perform requirements analysis by gathering information about business processes and technical requirements from key client stakeholders, using probing questions and investigative skills to obtain clear, high-quality insights that inform solution design.
- Design and build solutions by configuring application development tools, applying best practice knowledge to deliver outcomes aligned to customer requirements, with minimum oversight from senior team members.
- Compose and deliver clear documentation outlining solution requirements and demonstrate configured solutions or working prototypes to customers and key stakeholders throughout the engagement.
- Test configured solutions to ensure they function as designed, resolve any issues in a timely manner, and develop and deliver training materials and sessions that support successful customer adoption.
- Develop and execute migration plans to transition configured solutions into production environments, supporting customers throughout the process and ensuring key information is effectively handed over to the technical support team for continued success.
- Maintain awareness of project budget, scope, and timeline, communicating issues proactively to project managers and senior team members while contributing to infrastructure conversations and estimating design and configuration effort based on approved requirements.
Role Essentials
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with knowledge of scripting, system architecture, or relational databases applicable to enterprise software implementations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex situations, ask probing questions, and gather relevant, high-quality information from diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to engage clearly, confidently, and with impact at both technical and business levels across varied customer audiences.
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking capabilities, with a self-motivated, structured approach to managing multiple project workstreams to completion with appropriate oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgement, escalate issues appropriately, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with the flexibility to meet up to 30% annual travel requirements.
