This event is intended for experienced claims professionals with prior Bodily Injury and auto liability claims handling experience. Attendees will learn more about our hybrid work model, competitive compensation, $2,500 sign-on bonus, and career opportunities within GEICO Casualty.

Casualty Claims Examiner

  • Increase Your Earning Potential with a $2,500 Sign-On Bonus
  • Hybrid Position Based in Richardson, TX
  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $105,000 annually (commensurate with experience and market factors)

 

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST
Hybrid schedule of 3 in-office days per week following successful completion of orientation.

 

Orientation Period (First 6 Months):
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST
Up to 4 in-office days per week until fully trained and oriented.

We are seeking highly motivated Casualty Claims Examiners with prior bodily injury and casualty claims experience in private passenger auto liability claims. In this role, you'll work alongside a team of professionals handling attorney-represented automobile liability claims and play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and claims outcomes.

 

As a Casualty Claims Examiner, you will manage complex investigations, coverage determinations, liability assessments, and bodily injury claim resolutions through both settlement and litigation. The ideal candidate is adaptable, customer-focused, eager to learn, and open to feedback.

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of successful Bodily Injury claims handling experience
  • Prior private passenger automobile liability claims experience required
  • Active Adjuster license required at time of hire
  • Litigation handling experience preferred but not required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Department of Insurance guidelines and regulations
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the claims process
  • Verify coverage and applicable policy provisions
  • Investigate claims and determine liability exposure
  • Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate when appropriate
  • Evaluate damages and determine claim value
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants, insureds, and attorneys
  • Authorize payments within designated authority levels
  • Request additional authority when needed
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and company guidelines
  • Establish and adjust claim reserves appropriately
  • Communicate significant claim developments to leadership
  • Participate in claims forums and team discussions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
