At Hypertherm Associates, we design and manufacture world-leading industrial cutting solutions that help our customers build a better world. As a 100% Associate-owned company, we believe our success starts with our people and is strengthened by a culture built on care, trust, teamwork, and commitment.

Join us as an Off-Shift Frontline Leader and become part of an organization where you'll make a meaningful impact while helping Associates grow, succeed, and deliver innovative solutions to customers around the globe. As a Frontline Leader, you will provide day-to-day leadership for one of our manufacturing teams by ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective execution of business priorities. You will lead associates by creating clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and associate development while delivering high-quality results for internal and external customers.

Depending on experience, demonstrated leadership capability, and business needs, opportunities may be aligned to either the Frontline Leader or Senior Frontline Leader level. Senior-level leaders will be expected to lead broader scopes of responsibility, influence cross-functional outcomes, actively develop future leaders, and drive larger operational improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

People Leadership

Provide day-to-day leadership by setting clear expectations, coaching and developing associates, and creating an environment built on trust, accountability, and teamwork. This role is responsible for building team capability through hiring, training, performance management, and ongoing development.

Operational Leadership

Translate business and production objectives into clear daily priorities and execution plans for the team. Lead standard work processes, monitor operational performance, remove barriers, and coordinate resources across functions to ensure customer commitments and operational goals are achieved.

Continuous Improvement

Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and associate engagement. Use Lean principles, data analysis, and structured problem-solving to implement sustainable solutions and share best practices across teams.

Safety & Quality

Champion a strong safety and quality culture by ensuring compliance with established standard work, promoting safe work practices, and supporting incident investigation and corrective actions. Lead efforts to identify root causes, strengthen processes, and maintain consistent operational excellence.

Capacity & Planning

Partner with cross-functional teams to balance labor, materials, equipment, and production capacity in support of customer demand. Anticipate operational constraints, develop recovery plans when necessary, and use performance data and operational insight to support effective planning decisions.

Required knowledge, skills, education, and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, logistics, materials management, or a related operational environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, developing, or leading the work of others.
  • Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational performance concepts.
  • Ability to interpret operational metrics and use data to guide decisions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems used to support operations.
  • Senior-Level Consideration: Candidates may be considered for senior-level opportunities based on demonstrated success leading larger teams, managing broader operational scope, developing leaders, driving cross-functional initiatives, and delivering sustained operational results.

Preferred Experience that differentiates you:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, STEM, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems; Oracle experience is preferred.
  • Experience with production planning, scheduling, inventory management, or materials flow.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects, operational transformations, or capacity recovery initiatives.
  • Experience developing, mentoring, or coaching future leaders.
  • Strong structured problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and change leadership capabilities.

Location: Hanover, NH
