MFG Test Software Technician

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing (MFG) Test Software Technician to support, maintain, and validate innovative AI Server MFG test solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring system functionality and executing test requirements. Ultimately, your goal is to work with software engineers to build the high-quality, fully performing software infrastructure that strictly adheres to coding standards and technical design.

What you will do

• Test Sustaining: Work with test software engineers to support and maintain manufacturing server (L10) and rack (L11) level test deployed across our production facilities.

• Documentation: Co-work with test software engineers and maintain comprehensive documentation for L10 and L11 test procedures execution instruction and troubleshooting playbook.

• NPI Execution: Execute test commands during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase under the guidance of Test Software Development Engineers. Collect logs, document symptoms, and report findings to the MFG Test SW TPM and engineering teams.

• Shift Rotation: During the NPI phase of a project, you may be required to rotate shifts with other technicians to support weekend and/night shift manufacturing test validation.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including test, manufacturing, and failure analysis engineers, to ensure alignment on testing requirements and quality standards.

• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest advancements in testing technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices to keep our manufacturing processes competitive.

What you bring

• A related field with 1+ years of experience in manufacturing test software development/sustaining for enterprise server, storage, or networking products.

• Linux & Scripting: Proficiency in writing Linux commands and Bash scripts; experience using Linux-based tools and systems for data collection and analysis.

• System Maintenance: Hands-on experience managing and deploying hardware firmware and driver updates, as well as performing software updates and patches to ensure system stability and security.

• Global Collaboration: Proven experience working effectively in multi-site and cross-cultural environments.

• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
