Description
Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an ESL (ESL) Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our learners in New Rochelle.
Job Information:
Ref. # 200938/7:
- Students: Two 10-year-old children (twins) taking separate, back-to-back lessons. They have recently relocated to the USA.
- Location: Lessons are to be held at the students' home near Maplewood Park, New Rochelle 10804.
- Availability: Monday, Wednesday Friday - around 2:30pm - 3pm - To be confirmed with teacher.
- Lesson Frequency and Duration: Once or twice per week, 90 minutes per session.
- Current English level: Beginner/Intermediate.
- Native language: German.
- Students' language needs and goals: To be become fluent; being able to communicate with native speakers.
- Students' interests: They are interested in sports, reading Harry Potter books and playing the keyboard.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
- Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
- Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
- Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
Qualifications:
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in English
- Degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
- Minimum of two years' teaching experience
- Experience working with children
