Job Description

As a Security Guard - Evenings - Data Center in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a technology data center location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document entry and exit activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the data center campus, buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while supporting a professional environment for clients and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
