Description
A private medical practice in Vanderbijlpark is seeking a Medical Receptionist for a temporary three-month position, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional patient support, managing the practice diary and administration, assisting with billing and ensuring a calm and professional patient experience.
Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Welcome patients in a polite and friendly manner and maintain a neat and tidy reception area.
- Attend to telephone enquiries, bookings and appointment scheduling.
- Manage the practice diary, appointments and follow-up consultations.
- Obtain theatre files and assist with the creation and coordination of theatre lists.
- Answer and respond to calls, emails and text messages and monitor the practice inbox.
- Assist patients with the completion of patient information forms.
- Capture and maintain accurate patient records.
- Email scripts and sick notes as required.
- Process consultation billing using the relevant medical software.
- Assist with billing, invoicing and collection of consultation fees.
- Process in-room payments and receipting.
- Liaise with hospital wards, theatre and implant suppliers.
- Manage practice supplies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Previous experience working in a medical practice.
- Medical reception experience.
- Experience with medical billing and medical practice software.
- Knowledge and understanding of medical aid coding and billing.
- Exceptional Microsoft Office Suite experience and strong computer literacy.
- Fluent in English.
- Afrikaans and/or Sotho would be advantageous.
- Experience with digital media or MindSkill would be advantageous.
