Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Manager - Finance & Strategy in Chennai, India.
Manager - Finance & Strategy within India Corporate Strategy (CS) team, you will work in a growing global team, providing industry and financial expertise and insights, working together with Flex CS leadership and internal stakeholders to deliver customized knowledge assets and expert advisory.
As a member of the team, you will support internal and external stakeholders with deep expertise in competitor and industry benchmarking, M&A target evaluation and due diligence, financial analysis and forecasting, strategic planning, portfolio assessment, and value optimization.
What a typical day looks like:
- The role will involve developing valuation and projection models, conduct market sizing and industry-level financial analysis, and apply corporate finance metrics and trading multiples to assess businesses, competitors, industry segments, niche markets, and emerging or underpenetrated verticals.
- Support strategic assessments related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and portfolio optimization.
- Support in providing financial data and analysis leveraging specialized finance, accounting, corporate finance (CF) concepts, deep rooted knowledge in financial analysis, CF understanding relating to valuation/enterprise value/multiples of businesses/industries, and forecasting/projections related tools/frameworks
- Analyze companies from a financial, enterprise value, accounting, operational, and industry perspective, competitive benchmarking, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence
- Deep rooted knowledge of financial models and be able to create financial models based on business issues or transactions being analyzed and get the team to deliver high-quality valuation work products
- Lead & drive key initiatives/deliverables with CSO office and Business Unit (BU) leaders on strategic initiatives
- Contributes and enhances content development around topic/sector for key internal deliverables (Market Factbook, Competitive Intelligence, News updates), meetings & trainings
- Support India CS leadership on proposals, operational and other marketing activities
- Serve as a thought partner to BU leaders and global stakeholders, helping navigate Corporate Strategy priorities by connecting them with relevant insights, resources, and expertise.
- Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to support enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and priorities.
- Partner with leadership to identify and incubate new capabilities, improve operating effectiveness, and strengthen team performance to support the next phase of growth.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- 8+ years of relevant experience required (consulting/strategy with Corporate Finance (3-5 years of valuation hand on experience) specialization preferred)
- Consulting background with functional expertise in Finance having managed end-to-end client projects on topics of strategy & transformation
- Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree or professional qualification such as CFA or CA is preferred.
- Ability to build & maintain a strong network
- Ability to provide analytical insights
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, cross functional, global organization
- Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative, team player
- Fluency in English, location preferably in Chennai (on-site)
