Job Description & Summary
Consultant People in Deals & Transformation (Amsterdam)
Are you interested in the people perspective of corporate transactions and business transformation? Would you like to help organisations address complex workforce questions while developing your consulting, analytical and digital skills? As an Associate in our People in Deals & Transformation team, you will learn quickly, work with colleagues from different disciplines and contribute to projects with a clear impact on organisations and their people.
What you will be doing
Employees are critical to the success of transactions and transformations. At the same time, people-related topics can be among the most complex factors to understand and manage, particularly when organisations are undergoing change at the same time. We support clients across the full journey, from strategy through execution.
As an Associate, you will be part of an enthusiastic, open and ambitious team within our Workforce and Deals practice. Working with Dutch and international colleagues, you will support clients on people-related topics in mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, reorganisations, restructurings and broader transformation programmes. Your work will combine advisory and implementation activities, helping you build a strong foundation as a People in Deals consultant.
You will contribute to research and analysis, prepare clear client materials and support project teams in turning insights into practical actions. You will work alongside specialists in employment law, reward, organisational design, pensions, HR data and analytics, and HR technology, and you will often be part of broader multidisciplinary teams.
AI is increasingly part of how we work within the PwC People in Deals team and of the conversations we have with clients. You will have opportunities to explore how AI and other digital tools can strengthen our analyses, improve the way we deliver our work and help clients think through the impact of technology on their workforce and HR function.
The People in Deals team is based in the Amsterdam office, with opportunities to work from other offices, such as Rotterdam, and remotely for part of the time. Depending on the project, you may also work at a client's location in the Netherlands or occasionally abroad.
Does this describe you?
You are curious about organisations, people and change. You enjoy working with data, are eager to learn and can translate analysis into clear insights. You take initiative, collaborate easily with others and feel comfortable in an environment where assignments and priorities can change.
- You have a university Master’s degree in Business Economics, Econometrics or a social sciences discipline, with a demonstrable affinity for data analytics and/or finance;
- You have strong analytical skills and can structure complex information;
- You communicate clearly in English, and a good command of Dutch is preferred;
- You are interested in AI, data and digital tools and curious about how they can be applied in our work and in client organisations;
- You are proactive, results-oriented and comfortable taking initiative;
- You are an energetic and client-focused team player who builds relationships naturally;
- You enjoy working on complex, multidisciplinary and international projects;
- You are flexible and able to switch between assignments and disciplines.
What we offer
At PwC, you get the opportunity to be yourself, bring out the best in yourself within a high-performance organisation and grow within our global network. We offer you, among other things:
