About the role.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Assurance Officer to join our Quality team. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving site food safety and quality standards, supporting production teams, driving compliance and fostering a strong food safety culture across the site.
Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
· Support and promote food safety, quality, and compliance standards across the manufacturing site.
· Conduct product inspections, GMP audits, verification activities, and quality checks to ensure adherence to HACCP, customer, and regulatory requirements.
· Investigate customer and consumer complaints, non-conformances, and quality issues, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
· Maintain and review quality documentation, production records, specifications, HACCP plans, and compliance databases.
· Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and quality performance.
· Assist with supplier quality management, including non-conformance reporting and performance improvement activities.
· Support new product introductions to ensure food safety, quality, and operational requirements are met.
· Deliver quality and food safety training and contribute to building a strong quality culture across the site.
· Participate in internal, external, and supplier audits, and support calibration, validation, and verification programs.
· Prepare quality reports, maintain accurate records, and provide ongoing support to the Quality Assurance Manager and wider business
About You.
· Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quality Assurance role within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
· Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, food safety and quality management systems.
· Experience conducting internal audits and managing non-conformances.
· Knowledge of GFSI standards and food manufacturing compliance requirements.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and quality management systems.
· A collaborative approach with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the business.
· Experience with SPC, continuous improvement, project management or change management will be highly regarded.
