Description
Training and development are essential to every business. But too often, training is delivered once, forgotten about and rarely put into practice.
This business is changing that.
They've developed an AI-powered learning platform that complements existing training programmes, reinforcing key learnings and helping employees apply them in the real world. The result? Better performance, stronger teams and, in some cases, the potential to save lives through improved training.
With a genuine sense of purpose behind what they do, they're already working with globally recognised businesses including Volvo, Microsoft and Fidelity.
Now, they're investing in their sales team in Nottingham and looking for an experienced sales professional who's ready to take the next step in their career.
The Role
As a Senior Sales Development Representative, you'll play a key role in driving new business growth, generating high-quality opportunities and getting the platform in front of the right decision-makers.
You'll work closely with the Business Development Managers, targeting senior stakeholders and booking qualified meetings and product demonstrations. This is a role for someone who knows how to pick up the phone, build credibility quickly and consistently deliver results.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
New business prospecting: Making around 80 outbound calls per day, supported by strategic LinkedIn outreach and email campaigns.
-
Engaging senior decision-makers: Building relationships with C-suite executives and senior leaders, identifying business challenges and creating interest in the platform.
-
Generating qualified opportunities: Booking high-quality meetings and product demonstrations for the Business Development team.
-
Working collaboratively: Partnering closely with BDMs to maximise opportunities and ensure a smooth handover from initial outreach to sales meeting.
-
Owning your performance: Working towards clear activity and performance targets, taking accountability for your results and continually looking for ways to improve.
What's In It For You?
-
£32,500 basic salary + uncapped commission: With an advertised Year 1 earning potential of £45,000+, there's plenty of opportunity to increase your earnings as you develop.
-
A purpose-driven product: Sell an AI-powered platform that helps businesses improve training, develop their people and make a genuine difference.
-
Rapid career progression: This isn't a role where you'll be stuck making calls for years. Your next promotion is Business Development Manager, achievable in less than 12 months for someone who consistently delivers results and demonstrates the ability to take on more responsibility.
-
A small business with a big mission: Work in a growing business where you'll have direct exposure to the CEO, the opportunity to make an impact and the ability to see your contribution to the company's success.
-
Training and development: Develop your sales skills, learn from experienced colleagues and build the commercial skills needed to progress into a closing role.
-
A genuinely great office environment: Regular early finishes on Fridays, complimentary beer and prosecco taps (with soft drinks available too!), a barista serving fresh coffees and a dog-friendly office.
What Are They Looking For?
-
Sales experience: At least 2 years of sales experience, ideally within a B2B environment. You'll already understand the fundamentals of prospecting, objection handling and working towards targets.
-
A strong work ethic: Effort is one of the company's core values. Sales isn't always easy, and they want someone who brings energy, resilience and consistency, even when things don't go to plan.
-
Confidence on the phone: You're comfortable picking up the phone, starting conversations with new people and handling objections without losing momentum.
-
Commercial awareness: You'll be speaking with senior decision-makers, so you need to be articulate, intelligent and able to communicate credibly with experienced business leaders.
-
Ambition: You're hungry to succeed, motivated by earning potential and keen to progress into a Business Development Manager role within the next 12 months.
