Training Rate: $20.05/HR"approximately 2 weeks but varies per Driver.

Training Hours: Monday-Friday from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Start times will vary.)

After Training-Approved Driver Rate: Piece Rate approximately $31.61/HR

After Training -Approved Driver Schedule: Sunday-Thursday approximately from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Will work most holidays, some occasional weekend work, and overtime required on a regular basis.

Job Description:

Local CDL Driver Position BE HOME DAILY! Benefits eligible on first day of work!

This is a driver position responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor trailer combinations short and long distances, while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks: Communicate clearly in person and in writing regarding work assignments. Read and understand company policies and DOT rules and regulations. Must have basic math skills to complete DOT and company required records necessary for this position. Properly maintain a driving log. Conduct a thorough pre-inspection of the equipment and submit a written report on the condition of the tractor/trailer at the end of each trip. Drop, hook, spot, switch and otherwise interchange equipment when necessary. Report all accidents or incidents involving driver of company equipment. Must be able to climb in out of truck using 3 points of contact (16-20) times a day and climb ladders and stairs. Must be able to drive, shift gears, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, lift 25 to 50 pounds, and repeat all essential functions throughout the shift. Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the secure and safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
