Description
The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.
You will be responsible for:
- the overall operations of the performing arts venue, ensuring that all events and activities run smoothly;
- leading a team to oversee front-of-house and day-to-day operation;
- making recommendations on operational requirements and front-of-house venue design;
- overseeing operation aspects and logistics of banquet business and merchandise;
- developing and implementing operational policies and procedures (SOPs) to ensure the banquet business and merchandise operations run effectively and efficiently;
- managing the product lifecycle and establishing consistent execution of promotional activities and item launches;
- leveraging business intelligence to translate analytics into insights;
- ensuring all events comply with safety and regulatory standards including licensing and risk management;
- acting as the primary liaison between hirers, sales teams and food & beverage vendors;
- building and maintaining relationships with venue hirers, event organizers and operation partners to facilitate smooth event logistics; and
- performing any duties from time to time as reasonably as assigned by the Authority.
You should:
- possess a recognized university degree in performing arts, hospitality, tourism, food & beverage, retail operations or equivalent;
- have 10 years of relevant experience in venue operations in performing arts venues, hospitality and/or tourism sectors, food & beverage and/or retails operations of which at least 8 years in a managerial position;
- have good knowledge of performing arts venues facilities, front-of-house and event operations;
- have good understanding of the performing arts scene of Hong Kong;
- have experience in operation and development of performing arts venues;
- have proven experience managing complex and high-profile events;
- be service-oriented with professional customer service skills and positive service attitude;
- possess a track record of developing quality customer service;
- possess good analytical skills;
- possess excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and building partnerships;
- be proficient in written and spoken Cantonese, Putonghua and English;
- be able to work in both outdoor and indoor environment; and
- be required to work on shift (5-day work week) including weekends and public holidays.
