Description

This recruitment is to fill a Term-Limited Temporary position that is anticipated to end in November 2027. If filled by a King County employee who has passed their initial probation, it will be a Special Duty Assignment.

King County’s Procurement & Payables (P&P) team is seeking an experienced and motivated Term-Limited Temporary/Special Duty Assignment Public Records Officer (Administrator I) to join our dynamic team. This role is expected to last through November 2027 and is a key position within the Organizational Support & Communications (OSC) team, which strengthens P&P’s operational success through effective communication and coordination. The position follows a hybrid work model, with two days onsite at King Street Center.

As an Administrator I, you will lead P&P’s public records program—managing a high volume of public records requests, ensuring compliance with all laws and policies, and supporting process improvements that enhance efficiency and service delivery. You will serve as P&P’s Public Records Officer, providing essential administrative guidance and helping streamline end-to-end records workflows.

In this role, you will help ensure transparency, accountability, and timely access to public information—key elements of King County’s commitment to excellent public service. Your work will directly support both internal teams and community members by helping them navigate complex information with clarity and care.

If you are an organized, customer-focused professional with strong communication skills who enjoys a fast-paced and evolving work environment, we encourage you to apply!
