Position Summary
The Prefabrication Technician is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the fabrication shop by assembling plumbing materials and assisting with shop and warehouse activities. This role works closely with the Prefabrication Manager to prepare pipes, fittings, hangers, carriers, and other materials for construction projects. Successful candidates are dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble pipes, fittings, hangers, carriers, and other materials in accordance with fabrication shop specifications and project requirements.

Follow directions from the Prefabrication Supervisor and actively participate in training and skill development opportunities.

Demonstrate initiative by identifying work that needs to be completed and seeking guidance when necessary to support shop productivity.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, ensuring compliance with company safety standards and practices.

Assist the Prefabrication Supervisor with required documentation, reports, and administrative tasks.

Help protect and maintain company assets, including trucks, tools, equipment, and shop facilities.

Assist with receiving, tracking, and maintaining inventory of materials and deliveries.

Support shop operations by performing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.

Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication, cooperation, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Promote safe work practices and help eliminate potential hazards within the fabrication shop.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

High school diploma or GED
Good communication skills and ability to learn
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs

PREFERRED:

A working knowledge of plumbing

Compensation

Wage- starts at 18+ per hour based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills.
