Description

We are a leading medical ophthalmology practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care, from routine exams to complex surgical procedures. We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Licensed Optician to join our team and manage our in-house optical shop.

Up to 40 hours, Monday through Friday 8A to 5P

Responsibilities

• -Previous experience as an Optician in an optical or eye care practice. 
• - Knowledge of frame selection, lens options, measurements, fitting, adjustments, and repairs. 
• - Ability to interpret eyeglass prescriptions and assist patients with eyewear selection. 
• - Experience with optical sales, insurance verification, and billing. 
• - Strong patient service, communication, and multitasking skills. 
• - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a busy ophthalmology practice. 
• - Familiarity with optical inventory management and order processing. 

Qualifications

• Hold a valid state Optician's License (or equivalent certification).
• Minimum of 3 years of dispensing experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of optical products, lens technology (e.g., progressives, high-index), and fitting techniques.
