Hiring Unit:
Department of Mathematics and Statistics
Position Summary:
- Work with the Principal Investigator (PI) to develop and conduct a research project in technical AI safety.
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of research activities related to technical AI safety.
- Co-supervise a group of graduate students and undergraduate research assistants involved in technical AI safety research.
- Provide guidance and support to students and research assistants throughout the research project.
- Collaborate with the PI and research team to advance the project’s research objectives.
Qualifying skills:
- Research experience
- Refereed publications in mathematics and machine learning.
Experience and Education:
- PhD in Mathematics or a related field.
- Postdoc experience
- Experience supervising groups of graduate students in fields such as Artificial intelligence and Mathematics.
