Description
The Rig Management Service Coordinator is the primary focal point on all Rig Management service matters. This is a Key Personnel position that must be pre-approved by the client before mobilization.
The role is Basra-resident (non-rotational) and acts as the onshore interface between ICM's worksite team (Rig Coaches, Night Safety Advisors) and the client. The Coordinator manages all client communications, reporting, invoicing coordination, KPI tracking, personnel logistics, and technical support for the full duration of the contract.
This is a senior management and coordination role requiring strong technical drilling knowledge combined with the ability to manage IOC client relationships, contractual obligations, and multi-party logistics in an Iraq operating environment.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS |
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the drilling industry
- Minimum 5 years on WORKSITE as a Rig Manager or Toolpusher (or equivalent senior rig management role)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a remote onshore environment with high H2S context
- Fluent English AND Fluent Arabic — BOTH mandatory (speaking, reading, writing)
- Degree in Engineering preferred — or equivalent technical education / training
- Computer literate: full Microsoft Office suite to report-quality standard (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledgeable across all aspects of Rig Coach support activities
- Proven experience managing and coordinating personnel in multi-contractor onshore drilling environments
- Strong understanding of contract management, invoicing, and KPI reporting for IOC clients
- Available to be Basra-resident (not rotational) for the full contract duration from Q3 2026

PREFERRED / ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE |
- Previous experience resident in Iraq — specifically Basra and southern Iraqi oilfields
- Experience working with major IOC drilling campaigns in Iraq / ME
- Familiarity with IDS contract structures and reporting requirements
- Experience managing personnel rotations, visa / work permit processes in Iraq
- Track record managing supplier performance and coordinating multi-service drilling contracts
- Familiarity with Synergi Life or similar incident management / KPI systems
- Prior experience as country coordinator or operations manager for a drilling services / staffing company

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES |
|
Client Interface & Contract Management |
- Act as formal ICM focal point for COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE — available within 2 hours (Basra) or 2 working days (Dubai)
- Formally communicate with COMPANY outside WORKSITE on all Rig Management matters
- Liaise with COMPANIES on contractual matters; assist in management and administration of service performance
- Organise and participate in regular meetings with COMPANY related to service delivery, performance, and technical expertise
- Prepare, compile, and validate SERVICES billing / invoicing with COMPANY's team (monthly KPI reports, signed job tickets)
- Give assistance and inputs to COMPANY for permitting dossiers (Iraqi regulatory requirements)

Operations & Personnel Coordination |
- Manage and coordinate all ICM Rig Management SERVICES based on the work program and COMPANY's instructions
- Coordinate CONTRACTOR equipment mobilization to WORKSITE with COMPANY's Superintendent
- Manage all ICM WORKSITE personnel: mobilization scheduling, shift management, reporting, communication
- Ensure required key competencies and certifications are maintained and up to date for all WORKSITE personnel at all times
- Coordinate investigations and reporting of equipment or operational failures
- Prepare and deliver all required reports and documents as per contract requirements
- Propose best solutions to achieve COMPANY's objectives with respect to safety and well integrity
- Ensure all personnel hold valid SOC, BOC authorizations and COMPANY inductions (HSE, ERW) before worksite mobilization
