Creative Operations Manager | Brooklyn, NY · $70,000–$100,000
About the Role This is a hybrid role for someone who can run a creative team and still roll up their sleeves when needed. You'll own the full creative operation — from workflows and timelines to visual direction and design execution — while leading a team of designers and keeping output consistent across every channel. Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Project Management
- Manage and mentor a team of designers and creative professionals
- Oversee project timelines, workload distribution, and quality control across all creative output
- Provide feedback and direction to ensure visual consistency
- Assist with hiring and onboarding additional creative talent as the team grows
- Develop and refine creative workflows and internal processes
Creative Direction & Design Execution
- Lead development of product imagery, digital assets, branding materials, marketing collateral, and packaging
- Review and approve creative work for quality, accuracy, and brand alignment
- Jump in on hands-on design work as needed — marketing materials, presentations, social assets, packaging
- Collaborate with external vendors and creative partners when appropriate
Digital & AI-Enhanced Production
- Oversee use of AI-powered creative tools and emerging technologies within the design workflow
- Guide image creation, refinement, and integration across broader creative projects
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scale through technology and automation
- Stay current with design trends and creative tools
Brand & Marketing Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, product, and development teams to support business initiatives
- Maintain consistent branding across digital, print, packaging, and social channels
- Support product launches, campaigns, and promotions
- Contribute to social media and digital brand strategy
Qualifications
- Experience leading creative teams and managing design projects end-to-end
- Strong grasp of branding, marketing, packaging, and digital design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, SketchUp, or similar tools
- Experience with AI-assisted creative tools strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Able to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
- Detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once
