Description

At Commure, we're building the AI Operating System for healthcare, the foundation that defines how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform spans the full care journey: Ambient AI and Dictation eliminating documentation burden at the point of care, intelligent Agents automating patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous RCM processing billions in claims, all on a single AI-native platform integrated with 60+ EHRs.

Healthcare carries a $1 trillion administrative burden and we're at the center of transforming it. Today, 500,000+ clinicians across 500+ healthcare organizations nationwide trust Commure to handle $25B+ in annual claims and support over 200 million patient interactions. Our latest $70M raise at a $7B valuation reflects the confidence the market has placed in this mission.

Our team works directly alongside clinicians, not through layers of process, which means the gap between what you build and its impact on patient care is immediate. We move fast, deploy daily, and take full ownership from early thinking to production. If you're energized by hard problems, high stakes, and a team that holds itself to a high bar, you'll find your people here.

The future of healthcare is being built right now. Come deliver this transformation.

About the Role

As a Product Designer at Commure, you'll design intuitive productivity experiences for healthcare providers. Your work will span interaction, systems, and service design, grounded in a user-centered process that balances provider needs, business goals, and technical possibility. You'll simplify complex, multi-dimensional workflows and contribute across the full product lifecycle: discovery research, ideation, iteration, and client launch. We're a build-oriented team, so fluency in AI-native design tools and processes is a plus.

About You: You're proactive, detail-oriented, and effective under ambiguity. You are a strong communicator both in writing and collaborative settings. You thrive in fast-paced environments and bring genuine curiosity to understanding healthcare, from clinical workflows to the business and operations of running a practice. You don't just execute PRDs and hand off specs; you help define the problem and you stay engaged through execution.

Logistics: This is a full-time, on-site role based at our headquarters in Mountain View, CA, with occasional travel to client sites for field research and direct user engagement. This posting covers multiple open roles across Commure.

What You'll Do

End-to-End Product Design:

  • Create and deliver high-quality, polished, and intuitive UI/UX designs that enhance the overall visual appeal and user experience of Commure Ambient AI.

  • Create wireframes, low and high-fidelity interfaces, and interactive prototypes in Figma, Cursor, and other AI-powered tools to support the development of new features and product enhancements.

  • Conduct user research, develop insights through journey mapping, UX workflow analysis, and testing to validate design decisions and improve user experiences.

  • Develop design briefs and PRDs framing product opportunities and translating them into actionable projects.

Collaboration and Strategy:

  • Work closely with design and cross-functional partners, including product managers, engineers, and customer success teams, to conceptualize and refine product features.

  • Solicit and share feedback for continuous improvement, articulating your design decisions throughout the process.

  • Identify future opportunities and influence product roadmaps as a key thought partner to your product and engineering counterparts, balancing business requirements and end-user needs.

  • Work alongside a talented and passionate team of designers, polishing your design craft through fast-growing products.

Best Practices and Design System:

  • Stay up to date with the latest best practices of design systems, user-centered design principals, and accessibility standards.

  • Support and contribute to the Commure design system, ensuring consistency in design across all platforms and devices.

  • Develop discourse with teammates on design quality through a deep understanding of consumer and enterprise products, from design inspirations to competitive analysis.

  • Champion user-centered design principles, continuously improve your design craft, and elevate the design culture within the company.

What You Have

Experience and Expertise:

  • Professional experience in end-to-end product design.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in product design, industrial design, architecture, human-computer-interaction, or other related fields.

  • Proficiency in designing high-fidelity interfaces and building interactive prototypes in Figma, Cursor, and various AI-powered tools.

  • Experience working with and contributing to a design system

Skills and Traits:

  • Strong sense of craftsmanship from creating refined interaction experiences, paying attention to details, addressing edge cases and building delightful micro-interactions.

  • A self-motivated, proactive mindset - you are always looking for opportunities to improve a product and drive projects forward.

  • Strategic thinking - you are a high-level thinker that always think about the larger picture of product experience as a whole, beyond the specific feature you are working on.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills - you can understand business priorities and technical constraints, and articulate your design solutions to stakeholders and cross-functional team members.

  • Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity, and propose design concepts with an informed POV with incomplete information.

  • A passion for learning directly from users and building meaningful products

  • You write to think, with experience developing design briefs and PRDs, and the ability to integrate complex business information into actionable design propositions.

  • Strong organizational and management skills - you can bring structure to ambiguity, organize your work through setting expectations and timelines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer:

  • A collaborative and dynamic work environment where your contributions directly impact the future of healthcare technology.

  • We have a close-knit design team that operates like a design studio where we develop design discourse, learn about the latest trends and up-level our craft together.

  • Opportunities to grow and take ownership in building a product from the ground up.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.

  • Support for your professional development and learning goals.
