Job Description

As a Security Officer Upscale Residential Community Patrol in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support residents with strong customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will work with agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a welcoming community environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points and observe onsite activity, assisting with visitor interactions, policy reminders, and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns noticed during patrols.
• Support a welcoming residential environment by providing directions, answering questions, and reporting incidents, hazards, and/or disturbances according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
