Healthcare Assistant - Endoscopy

Job Purpose
The Healthcare Assistant - Endoscopy is a member of the department team appointed to support Registered Nurses in the delivery of direct patient care. The role involves contact on a physical and psychological level with patients and their families. The post holder will undertake a range of activities under the supervision of a registered nurse, having been assessed and deemed competent in the activities required to provide an efficient service for patients being treated at Bon Secours Hospital Limerick.
Candidate Criteria:
Qualifications
Possess Leaving Certificate Qualification or equivalent
Possess a relevant Health Skills Qualification as outlined in the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) Formerly FETAC on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) of no less than QQI Level 5
Pre Nursing Course or equivalent e.g. IATI , EMT (Desirable)
Ideal Candidate:
Ability to work as part of a team dedicated to providing a quality service
Flexible approach to work patterns as the post holder will be required to be rostered over 7 days a week including weekends as required by service needs.
Previous Experience is desirable
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
