Job Description

As a Security Officer Museum Patrol Assessment in Long Island City, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to visitors, staff, and guests. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $18.05 - $19.05 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, artists, vendors, and other guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public spaces, offices, entrances, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with entry procedures, directions, and adherence to location policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
