KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Product Ownership and Backlog Management: Own and maintain the product vision, roadmap, prioritized backlog, acceptance criteria and delivery trade-offs for QI Dashboard as GAM’s strategic multi-factor risk and portfolio-construction engine.

Agile Delivery: Lead agile delivery routines, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, dependency management, delivery sequencing, release readiness and post-release feedback loops for the QI Dashboard build.

Multi-Asset Analytics Platform Development: Translate needs for portfolio risk, performance analytics, portfolio construction, attribution, optimization, scenario analysis and constraint-aware decision support into clear product increments for a multi-asset analytics platform.

Stakeholder Alignment: Build alignment across 5+ GAM groups, including Risk, PM-Construction, OCIO, QI Dashboard platform team, and Portfolio Consulting & Strategy, ensuring shared priorities and transparent delivery decisions.

Platform Modernization and Productizing: Partner with Enterprise Technology and platform teams to progress Databricks/GDN, Azure migration, data governance, QA/Prod controls, release management and support capacity needed for a governed GAM-wide engine.

Data Governance and Model-Risk Controls: Embed data quality, reliability, documentation, authoritative-source rules, reconciliation ownership and model-risk governance into product requirements and release decisions.

AI/ML Enablement: Champion governed AI & ML-powered solutions and responsible use of AI to accelerate product development, analytics workflows and continuous improvement.

COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES

As an employee of CIBC, the incumbent must comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controls. This includes adherence to model-risk governance, AI governance protocols, data privacy requirements and robust documentation practices.

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring QI Dashboard product requirements, platform controls and analytics releases support regulatory and audit requirements, maintain data integrity and security, and document validation, reconciliation and authoritative-source decisions across governed delivery workflows.

AUTHORITIES/DECISION RIGHTS

Backlog Prioritization: Prioritize the QI Dashboard product backlog, define acceptance criteria and make day-to-day scope trade-offs in alignment with agreed program objectives.

Sprint Planning and Delivery Authority: Direct backlog refinement, sprint planning, release sequencing and readiness reviews with delivery teams and stakeholder representatives.

Architecture Recommendations: Recommend technical architecture, integration paths, data governance approaches and production-readiness controls for Databricks/GDN, Azure and related GAM analytics infrastructure.

JOB DIMENSIONS

• GAM-wide product ownership scope for QI Dashboard as a shared multi-factor risk and portfolio-construction analytics engine.

• Multi-asset class coverage supporting portfolio risk and performance analytics needs across 5+ consumer groups: Risk, PM-Construction, OCIO, QI Dashboard platform team, and Portfolio Consulting & Strategy.

• Delivery coordination across 8 analytics workstreams (A–H), including the core fixed income analytics engine and validation framework, Workstream G — Private Credit, and Workstream H — Macro-Finance & CMA Engine.

• Production infrastructure responsibilities spanning Databricks/GDN, Azure migration, data governance, QA/Prod controls, release management and support capacity.

• Ongoing coordination across quantitative modeling, fixed income analytics, securitized-product expertise, data engineering, platform engineering, model validation, reporting workflow and product ownership capabilities.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Quantitative Investing and Risk Models: Strong understanding of quantitative investing, multi-factor risk models, multi-asset portfolio risk, performance analytics and portfolio construction workflows.

Technical Acumen: Working knowledge of Python, Databricks/GDN, Azure, data engineering, platform engineering, APIs, microservices and production analytics infrastructure.

Fixed Income Analytics: Familiarity with fixed income analytics, structured and option-sensitive instruments, liability-aware portfolio analytics and validation requirements.

Product & Execution: 5+ years of agile Product Management experience in FinTech, WealthTech or enterprise banking, with demonstrated success delivering full-lifecycle software products in regulated environments.

AI/ML Enablement: Experience shaping governed AI & ML-powered solutions and using AI to accelerate product discovery, development, testing and continuous improvement.

Governance and Controls: Ability to translate model-risk governance, data privacy, data integrity, audit and documentation expectations into actionable product requirements and release controls.

Stakeholder Leadership: Ability to build consensus, lead cross-functional teams and act as a translator between quantitative investing, business stakeholders, risk, compliance and technology partners.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This role operates within a normal office environment, with virtual and in-person collaboration across CIBC locations. The incumbent may participate in leadership sessions, governance committees, agile ceremonies and cross-functional workshops, and must remain flexible as QI Dashboard platform, analytics and governance needs evolve.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate a minimum of 5+ years in financial services, people management, project/process/procedure delivery experience and people change management practices. It is an asset if you have Lean Six Sigma and experience in ADKAR change management practices/ Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • You are experienced with large projects, have a strong background in project delivery leveraging various methodologies (waterfall, Agile/scrum, etc.) and working with vendors and other business partners to implement change.
