About the Role:At Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, every patient journey is unique, and every member of the care team plays an important role in delivering exceptional cancer care.
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Breast Surgery/Oncology team. In this role, you will partner closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care for patients throughout all phases of treatment and recovery. From assessment and diagnosis to treatment planning and ongoing management, you will help guide patients through some of the most important moments in their healthcare journey.

The starting annual salary for this title is $124,614 with an additional geographic differential of $8,510. This can also include a full comprehensive benefits package.
What You'll Do:
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will:
Assess and manage patients with acute and chronic health conditions
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and monitor ongoing care needs
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and results
Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
Prescribe medications and other therapies as appropriate
Support patients and families by providing education, guidance, and compassionate care
Coordinate care across multiple specialties to ensure a seamless patient experience
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for Advanced Practice Providers, nurses, residents, fellows, students, and other healthcare professionals
Contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, and clinical excellence

Qualifications:
Required Education and ExperienceNurse Practitioner Educational Path:
1. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York; and
2. Current New York State Nurse Practitioner certification; and
3. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA); and
4. Master’s or higher-level degree in Nursing.
OR
Physician Assistant Educational Path:
1. License to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York; and
2. Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized by the New York State Education Department; and
3. Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Physician Assistant Studies; or
4. Bachelor’s or higher-level degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Certificate Program recognized by the New York State Education Department.
AND
Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Educational Path:
The equivalent of two (2) years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience in a service line at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or at a cancer care or acute care facility recognized as comparable by Roswell Park.
NOTE:
1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
2. Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
