Overview
Waters is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to play a key role in the support of liquid chromatography (LC) instrumentation used by scientists worldwide.
In this role, you will provide technical input for our Continuing Engineering Electrical Engineering team, leading the design of high-performance analog and mixed-signal electronics that enable precise fluidics control, detection, and data integrity. You will guide complex development efforts from concept through production.

Responsibilities
- Manage electrical aspects of our LC instrument electronic subassembly hardware, PCBAs, components, and cables
- Coordinate multiple electronics issues simultaneously to address needs prioritized by severity and timing for implementation needs
- Participate in obsolescence-driven redesign of PCBAs and other components.
- Review manufacturing and customer issues to plan and prioritize technical responses
- Be capable of Lab testing of circuits using electrical test equipment including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and emulators
- Design transfer to manufacturing through Engineering Change process
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering minimum
- 2+ years of experience in the design of analog or mixed signal circuits
- Experience with Jira and Confluence modules of the Atlassian toolset is beneficial but not required
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Expedition, Mentor Graphics toolset preferred
- Experience with lab testing of board level electronic designs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
