Job Description
As a Security Officer Luxury Gated Community in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a residential community, where you will help create a welcoming, secure environment for residents and visitors. You will manage entry access, verify credentials, monitor activity, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach, you will help deter incidents while supporting a professional community experience.

- Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, community policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access at community entrances, verify authorized visitors and vendors, and document entries, deliveries, and other relevant activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and access logs while maintaining professional communication with residents, management, and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3+ years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
- Possess supervisory experience.
- Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
