Medical Assistant/Scheduling Assistant - Oncology - Per Diem Level 1 - Days

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Medical Assistant/Scheduling Assistant, Oncology
• Location: Endeavor Health Infusion Center - Arlington Heights, IL
• Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hours per 6 week schedule
• Hours: Monday-Friday: 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm, no weekends or holidays
• Required Travel: Niles Infusion Center (occasionally)

What you will do:

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience, required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
