The Academy Coach serves as a key learning and development leader responsible for delivering world-class training experiences that drive associate capability, operational excellence, and business results across Walmart facilities. This role facilitates engaging learning experiences through a variety of training modalities, supports change management initiatives, partners with facility leadership to develop talent, and ensures classroom learning is successfully translated into on-the-job performance.
The Academy Coach acts as a trusted partner to associates and leaders by delivering training, coaching talent, supporting operational readiness, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of learning and belonging.

Location: This position will be fully onsite in Hatfield, Pennsylvania

You’ll make an impact by...

• Delivering engaging, high-quality learning experiences that build associate capability and drive operational excellence across the business.
• Facilitating training through a variety of learning modalities, including instructor-led classroom training, virtual platforms, Academy Connect, VR, and emerging learning technologies.
• Partnering with facility leaders to identify development opportunities, strengthen talent pipelines, and support succession planning efforts.
• Coaching and developing associates and leaders by providing actionable feedback, mentoring, and performance support that drives growth and accountability.
• Conducting facility visits to ensure classroom learning translates into operational execution and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
• Supporting the successful adoption of new processes, programs, and change initiatives through training, communication, and hands-on coaching.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across facilities, Academy teams, and business partners to align learning solutions with business needs.
• Driving continuous improvement by conducting facilitation audits, participating in content reviews, and providing feedback to enhance learning effectiveness.
• Leveraging data, observations, and business insights to measure learning outcomes and improve associate readiness.
• Creating an inclusive learning environment that fosters engagement, belonging, collaboration, and continuous development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Walmart associate with 18 months’ experience in Walmart operations as a salaried member of management supervising non-exempt associates/employees.
• Successful completion of a firearms- specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training (if applying for a position in a store that sells firearms).
• State issued Certificate of Eligibility (if applying for a position in a store that sells ammunition).
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
- Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges)
