Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full - Time - Patrol in Independence, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and report security-related concerns. This role offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support daily operations through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, delivery personnel, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor, vehicle, and delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, trailers, buildings, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Observe activity around packages, freight, vehicles, and restricted areas, reporting unusual conditions, damaged property, and policy violations to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
