Description
Ready to help students grow and succeed? Cross Country Education is seeking a Special Education Aide to work alongside teachers and support staff in a collaborative middle school environment in Buckeye, AZ, helping students with autism succeed in the classroom and beyond throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Overview
- Provide daily classroom and behavioral support to middle school students in a specialized autism/STRIDE program.
- Assist students with academic, social, behavioral, and functional activities while reinforcing individualized learning and support plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
- Remain flexible to support different classrooms or assignments based on student and program needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required, plus one of the following:
- Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
- 60 college credit hours
- Associate degree
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Experience working with students with special needs, particularly autism, behavioral needs, or special education, preferred
