About the Role
Support actuarial reporting, reinsurance administration, business performance monitoring, and management reporting activities to ensure accurate financial, operational, and regulatory reporting. The role will work closely with Finance, Reinsurers, Distributions and other internal stakeholders to provide actuarial analysis, and reporting support.Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and validate monthly reinsurance premium and claims recovery reports.
- Liaise with reinsurers on premium and claims recovery reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate with Finance to confirm reinsurance-related balances and payment accuracy.
- Attend to query for reinsurance related queries and data required by Regional Office and management.
- Prepare and monitor monthly policy persistency analysis and analyze trends against target.
- Support budgeting and projection exercises by providing persistency projection and analysis.
- Prepare quarterly statistical report and submissions required by the Myanmar Insurance Association (MIA).
- Ensure reporting accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting timelines.
- Support the preparation and consolidation of monthly and quarterly management reporting packs and financial performance decks.
- Perform consistency checks between accounting records and actuarial reports on the financial performance decks.
- Assist in investigating reporting variances and resolving data issues.
- Support internal business analytics team by providing actuarial reporting requirements.
- Participate in regional reporting enhancement projects and process automation initiatives by providing actuarial reporting requirements
- Develop and enhance reinsurance reporting process, databases, to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare annual actuarial experience studies including persistency, mortality, as applicable.
- Conduct ad hoc actuarial investigations and business analyses to support management decision-making.
- Provide support for internal and external audit requests.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Data Analytics, or other related education background
- Minimum 2 years of experience in field of actuarial, statistics, mathematics, finance or data analytics
- Strong proficient in O365 including Excel, VBA and data analytics software
- Proficiency in actuarial software and advanced Excel modeling
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality of work.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
