Financial Analyst, 12 Month Rotational Co-op

Job Summary
Join the FGF Brands Finance Team as a rotational co-op, providing you with an opportunity to work with three different finance teams, learn about the business and all aspects involved in finance. For your first four months join the Operations Finance team and play a crucial role in supporting our costing and accounting functions. This position will involve working closely with various departments, consolidating data, conducting in-depth cost analyses, and performing a range of support tasks aligned with best practices in the industry. Your next four months with the Costing and Pricing Team will support daily duties and projects as it relates to revenue and COGS. And close off your one-year term with the Financial Planning and Analysis team by improving the financial reporting framework, documenting and improving the process flow of GL accounts.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate across departments and facilities to analyze and validate key variances
- Collect, clean, and consolidate data from multiple sources for impact and variance analysis
- Summarize data by plant/process, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Support annual physical inventory verification and ensure accuracy across facilities
- Build analytical models for ad-hoc financial analyses and management insights
- Support Commercial Finance in evaluating customer revenue, commodities, and cost changes
- Assist in new item launch evaluations and cost model development
- Document processes with flow charts and SOPs for reporting and controls
- Consolidate expense reports, align reporting parameters, and maintain consistency across departments
- Develop and stabilize financial reports, including ad-hoc and variance analyses
- Prepare sales variance and key spending analyses (PPV, Freight, Handling, Rebates, Promos, etc.) vs. Budget, Standards, and Forecast
- Adapt to shifting priorities and meet tight deadlines as required

Key Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- Finance enthusiast, committed to excellence and continuous improvement.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
- Able to work efficiently to meet multiple deadlines
